On that horrific day paramedics got her heart beating again but doctors at Jackson have deemed her brain dead. Under Florida law doctors are allowed to remove life support from patients who are brain dead but Aliza's beating heart and our family's faith has us holding on to hope.
We were told Aliza wasn't going to survive that day, but over 4 months later with the Rebbes Brochas and G-D's help, she is still with us and continues to get stronger. A beating heart equals life and we are encouraged by Aliza’s responses to pain and ambient stimulation as well as her movements and spontaneous breaths. In fact, Aliza's heart rate, spontaneous breaths and body movements increase when she hears her mother's voice, her favorite music or her favorite movie, Cinderella. We are extremely grateful to everyone on the medical staff at Miami Children's Hospital for providing Aliza with the most exceptional care. Our family considers the care we are receiving at Miami Children's to be the "Gold Standard" in medical care. From the bottom of our hearts, and on behalf of Aliza we thank you. With all of your prayers and good deeds, we are confidant Aliza will have a complete and immediate recovery. Please keep up and increase your efforts if possible. Lastly, your messages of support help sustain us during this most difficult time. Please check back on this site regularly for updates on Aliza’s progress. ![]() ![]()

First, please accept our sincere apologies for not updating this site over the past few months. We know all of you are davening, learning and doing extra mitzvois to aid in Alizah's imminent recovery. You all have a vested interest in Alizahs refuah and we are extremely grateful to all of you for your continued support. Boruch Hashem! Alizah is making great progress. Although still in a deep coma state, she's very responsive to her mother's requests to move particular body parts i.e. her arms, legs, torso, neck and head. We believe this is due to the continued treatments Alizah has been receiving. These treatments consist of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Feldenkrais, Physical and Occupational Therapies and most recently with the help of a brilliant new medical team we have been working with shock, nutraceutical, and pharmaceutical therapies.
